Apple and pork trifle
- 2kg pork, maple, bacon and apple sausage mince
- 1 x 800g can diced apples
- 400g diced bacon
- Ground cinnamon to garnish
- Weigh out and divide the sausage mince into 250g portions and roll into balls.
- Using a soft drink can, mold a pocket on the top of the meatball, using the can to create a cup shape.
- Fill each pocket with approximately 100g diced apple, top with 50g diced bacon. Repeat for each meatball.
- To garnish, sprinkle with a pinch of ground cinnamon over filling.
- Butchers Hint to easily mold the mince use oil on hands.
