APIQ Management would like to advise of an increase to APIQ audit fees in a revised fee structure that will come into effect from 1 August 2023. The fee increase for each business will vary based on farming operation and location. The increase comes following a review conducted by third-party audit organisation AUS-MEAT. APIQ Management understands that the increase is considerable, and comes at a time of rising operational costs. APIQ Management undertook extensive negotiations to cross-examine AUS-MEAT on the fee structure and worked hard to minimise the impact on producers as much as possible. We would like to assure producers the best rates have been provided following these negotiations. Fee changes include:

  • Removal of the discount on mileage for the first and last 100km of auditor travel
  • An increase on tiered base rates of $69.00 to $130.50 (ex GST) for single-site audits, to reflect the time and cost of delivery for these AUS-MEAT services
  • An increase of $18.50/hr (ex GST) on the hourly audit fee rate for multi-site audits and any additional audit or report writing time required for either site type

Despite the fee changes, APIQ Management and AUS-MEAT remain committed to working with producers to provide the highest level of service possible and maintain the integrity of the pork industry. To help navigate this change and minimise costs, we have developed a 10-Step Checklist, to ensure producers are well prepared ahead of their next audit.   A recording of the APIQ webinars hosted in July can be viewed online below:

If you have any questions or concerns about the increases, please do not hesitate to contact APIQ Management or APL's Producer Relations Team.
