From 17 - 18 August, Australian Pork and SunPork Group once again supported the annual Kingaroy Baconfest where we had a piggy great time! 
 
APL connected and celebrated with community, many of which work tirelessly in our supply chain, to celebrate homegrown pork and bacon.  
 
We were proud to run the annual bacon eating competition to raise awareness around locally sourced versus imported pork, and this year attracted international participants hailing from a Japanese television show to enter.  
 
Weekend Today secured morning weather crosses which amplified the festival across the nation to put more eyes on the hardworking region.  
 
A Brisbane local took out the bacon eating final, taking home a year’s supply of Aussie bacon to be sourced from their local butcher.
