H4W - Enhancing supply chain profitability through reporting and utilisation of peri-mortem information by livestock producers

Producers receive very limited feedback about the pigs they sell for slaughter, but a feedback system could provide multiple benefits to producers.

This project is piloting the implementation of such a system.

• Improved disease control and prevention
• Improved returns to producers through reduced trimming, and reduced downgrades and condemnation
