Assistance sought by the zoo industry
Through our networks with other industry bodies, APL received information that the zoo industry were seeking assistance through discounted or donated meat to feed their animals.
The industry has been severely affected through reduced visitor numbers and tourists and were seeking help from other industries.
To ensure the maintenance of an adequate diet, zoos are seeking cuts that are lower in fat, such as ribs.
Please contact Nicolas de Graaf of the Zoo and Aquarium Association on firstname.lastname@example.org if you need more information or wish to assist.
