APL webinar recording: Changes to the Pastoral Award 2010
APL hosted a webinar information session and Q&A on Tuesday 5 May with National Farmers Federation’s General Manager of Workplace Relations and Legal Affairs, Mr Ben Rogers, in relation to recent changes in the Pastoral Award 2010.
As of March 2020, employers and employees are able to agree in writing for the employee to be paid an annualised wage or a salary instead of being paid an hourly rate.
Additionally, a meal allowance must be now be paid for employees working overtime. NFF is finalising a checklist regarding the changes that will be distributed via the APL Update weekly email and linked on the APL website.
We would like to thank Ben Rogers for his time and all those who were in attendance. If you were not able to attend the webinar and are interested, a recording of the meetings proceedings is available to watch below.
