APIQ Management would like to advise of an increase to APIQ audit fees in a revised fee structure that will come into effect from 1 July 2024. The fee increase for each business will vary based on farming operation and location.
This increase takes place off the back of a review process by AUS-MEAT, followed by extensive negotiations with APIQ Management to cross-examine the fee structure to minimise the impact and impost on producers, and is the second of a two-phase increase (the first of which took place in August 2023).
Fee changes for 2024 include:
APIQ Management understands that the fee increases have come at a time of rising operational costs and has negotiated the best rates possible to minimise audit charges.
APIQ Management and AUS-MEAT are collaborating to explore all opportunities to improve the efficiency of the program and audit process and remain committed to working with you to continue to provide the highest level of service possible.
Despite the fee changes, the value of independent APIQ audits is an investment in ensuring product quality, food safety, and market access.
If you have any questions or concerns about this increase, please do not hesitate to contact APIQ Management or APL's Producer Relations Team
