The 2016 PPPE will be held on the 25-26 May 2016 on the Queensland Gold Coast.
PPPE combines a pork industry trade show and exhibition with information sessions supported by Australian Pork Limited (APL) and Pork CRC Limited. This gives opportunity to Australian producers to discuss, debate and where suitable, adopt new technologies and innovations. Since beginning in 1998, PPPE has continued to grow, attracting both domestic and international participants.
All the key decision makers involved in the Australian pork industry supply chain. These include:
- Pork producers
- Retail and food service industries
- Subsidiary service providers such as insurers and financial institutions
- Government officials.
- General product and service providers for rural industries
- Subsidiary service providers
- A broad spectrum of supply chain companies involved in the Australian pork industry.
Information for APL Members
The PPPE Committee has allocated a budget to help assist with the cost of travel and accommodation for APL Members to attend PPPE 2016. The financial assistance, available for APL Members only, can be used towards 1–2 night/s accommodation (depending on which state you have travelled from) and appropriate travel to and from the Gold Coast, including bus transfers from Coolangatta airport.
Secretariat services for PPPE are provided by APL. The technical program for the expo is developed in consultation with APL, Pork CRC Limited staff and industry representatives. PPPE is a major forum for APL and Pork CRC Limited research initiatives and outcomes.
The trade exhibition and social activities are conducted in coordination with APL and Pork CRC Limited staff, along with input from various industry representatives.
